B.C. RCMP officer injured after crash during motorcycle training exercise
SURREY — Two BC Highway Patrol officers were taken to hospital, including one with serious injuries, after crashing during a motorcycle training exercise in Surrey, B.C.
A statement from the RCMP says officers from various units were participating in a motorcycle escort re‑certification course Saturday morning when a BC Highway Patrol officer was rear‑ended by another officer from the same unit.
It says they were travelling south on 152 Street on fully marked RCMP police motorcycles.
Police say one officer was transported to hospital with serious injuries and remains in hospital.
