UPDATE: Alberta man accused of sexually abusing a child arrested in Red Deer

UPDATE — Nanaimo RCMP confirm Kyle Soloway was arrested in Red Deer, Alberta on Monday, Dec. 15.

EARLIER, NANAIMO — An Alberta man accused of multiple sexual offences in Alberta, may be residing in the Harbour City.

Warrants have been issued for 33-year-old Kyle Soloway stemming from alleged incidents in Red Deer, Alberta, in 2023.

Court records show Soloway is charged with sexual assault, sexual contact with a child and failure to comply a release order in Alberta, while a B.C. warrant was issued when Soloway allegedly failed to comply with a court order.

Nanaimo RCMP report Soloway’s last known address was at the Salvation Army’s New Hope Centre on Nicol St. last August.

He’s described as 6’1″, 180 pounds with short brown hair and brown eyes.

Pictures provided of Soloway are recent, according to RCMP.

Soloway also has a tribal-style tattoo on his upper right arm, a cross tattoo on his left hand and Chinese writing tattooed on his upper left arm.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Soloway is asked to call the Nanaimo RCMP detachment at 1-250-754-2345, quoting file number 2025-26500.
