Body found in burned car

Port Alberni RCMP are seeking witnesses after a body was found in a burned out car on 4th Avenue.

Firefighters were called to extinguish the blaze across from the bowling alley early Wednesday morning and alerted police who tarped off the vehicle, taped off the block and secured the scene.

Investigators are seeking anyone with information or dashcam footage in the area between 2 and 4 a.m.Wednesday to come forward.
