The B-C Wildfire Service says the Wesley Ridge wildfire on Vancouver Island has grown to more than five square kilometres and is now considered a wildfire of note.

The service says numerous fire departments on the island have converged on the blaze to protect properties and structures around Cameron Lake.

Here’s a look at the efforts to fight the Wesley Ridge wildfire.
