Alberni cyclist struck

The 10th Avenue dip is blocked off this morning after a pickup truck struck a cyclist at 10th & Dunbar shortly before 6:30 this morning.
The cyclist is believed to have suffered serious injuries and an air ambulance was brought in.
The area will remain blocked off until accident reconstruction specialists are finished their investigation, which could take most of the morning.
It’s the same intersection where 15 year old Daniel Butt was struck and killed on his bicycle in November 2018.
