SURREY — The Clippers were on the wrong side of a wild night of offense in Surrey.

Nanaimo lost 10-6 in a contest they never led.

Surrey was up 3-1 after twenty minutes with the Clippers lone goal going to Isa Parekh, his second in as many games.

The game was 7-3 in the Eagles favour after the second.

Joel Plante and Cole Lonsdale notched the Clipper tallies in the middle frame.

Each team added another three goals in the third period.

Noah Alvarez, Luke Buss and Joel Plante had the Nanaimo markers.

The goal by Buss extended his goal scoring streak to six games.

Plante with two goals, Alvarez with a goal and an assist and Mike Murtagh with a pair of assists had multi point games for the Clippers.

Surrey’s Zachary Wagnon led all scorers by putting up a goal and four assists and Evan Brown had a two goal and two assist performance.

28 different players had at least a point between the two teams.

The final shots were 38-34 for the Eagles and on special teams Nananimo went 0/2 on the power play and 1/2 killing penalties.

Of note for the Clippers AP defenceman Sean Barnhill made his BCHL debut and played significant minutes on a depleted Nanaimo blueline.

Goaltender Massimo Urbani got into his first game action with the team, coming in to play for the third period.

At the end of play on March 22 the Clippers were tied for fourth in the Coastal Division standings with the Victoria Grizzlies.

The Grizzlies officially have fourth spot by virtue of one more victory.

Nanaimo visits the Langley Rivermen for their next game on March 23 at 5 p.m.
