Open house scheduled for proposed permanent supportive housing project in Nanaimo
NANAIMO — Further information on the evolution of 250 Terminal Ave. N takes place with an upcoming open house.
Hosted by BC Housing, presentation boards for the planned permanent supportive housing component of the site will be set up and members of the project team answering questions on Monday, March 11 from 6-8 p.m. at the Beban Park Social Centre room C.
“We are currently proposing to build a five-storey building with 50 studio homes on this site. These homes would be for single adults experiencing or at risk of homelessness in Nanaimo,” stated BC Housing on its website where updates on 250 Terminal Ave. N are provided.
BC Housing intends to build a neighbouring second five-storey building with 44 affordable homes for low income families, seniors and people with disabilities.
