Flames goalie Markstrom out day-to-day with injury, Wolf recalled from Wranglers
Calgary Flames goaltender Jacob Markstrom is out day-to-day with a lower-body injury, the NHL club announced Tuesday.
Markstrom, who is 13-11-2 with a 2.59 goals-against average and .912 save percentage this season, left Calgary’s practice early Monday for what head coach Ryan Huska called “maintenance.”
The 33-year-old Swedish goaltender has been excellent for the resurgent Flames of late, winning five of his last six starts.
His only loss over that span was a 39-save performance in a 3-2 defeat at Philadelphia on Jan. 6.
