Clippers win 5-2 over Victoria to kick off Remembrance Day weekend
NANAIMO — Before the Clippers took to the ice Nov. 10 against the Victoria Grizzlies they honoured veterans and paid tribute to the crew of the HMCS Nanaimo.
After a slow start they overtook Victoria for a 5-2 win.
Charlie Gollob and Nathan King gave the Grizzlies a 2-0 six minutes into the game but then Nanaimo started to chip away and got a massive power play goal from Noah Alvarez to bring the game to 2-1 at the intermission break.
In the second period the Clippers were dominant.
