Nanaimo RCMP search for man accused of choking woman

NANAIMO — Local Mounties are trying to track down a man following an alleged violent assault.

Police say 30-year-old Joseph Charles Little is wanted following a June 19 incident where he allegedly punched and choked a woman.

The victim was eventually able to escape and reported the incident to police however officers have been unable to locate Little since.

He’s described as 5’10”, 160 pounds with short brown hair and blue eyes.

The picture in this story is considered recent and if anyone sees Little, they’re asked to contact Nanaimo RCMP at 250 754 2345.

Little’s criminal record dates back to early 2014, centres mainly around the Campbell River area and includes charges of assault with a weapon, wilfully resisting or obstructing a peace officer, theft, theft of a motor vehicle and multiple breaches of court orders.
