NANAIMO — Meet Karen, an 11-year-old domestic short hair cat with that unique tortoiseshell colouring.

Karen came to the Nanaimo SPCA as a stray and needed some love and care from staff to help her get ready to be adopted.

She’s now thriving and ready to find a special retirement home to call her own.

She’s full of sugar and spice, and eager to find a cat-savvy person to give her a fur-ever home.

The Nanaimo SPCA have reopened their doors to the public. You can still submit an application online and book an appointment if it’s a match, or stop by their Nanaimo location Tuesday-Sunday from noon until 4:00 p.m.
