Meet Chunky, a three-legged feline with a heart of gold

NANAIMO — Say hello to Chunky, a one-year-old domestic medium hair cat who doesn’t let a little thing like a missing limb slow him down.

Due to an injury early in his life Chunky had to have a hind leg removed, but was a trooper during recovery and it didn’t damper his spirits at all. He will have to be an indoor cat from now on though.

He is the king of cuddles and likes to play with balls of any kind: paper, cloth, furry, plastic, he plays with them all.

The Nanaimo SPCA have reopened their doors to the public. You can still submit an application online and book an appointment if it’s a match, or stop by their Nanaimo location Tuesday-Sunday from noon until 4:00 p.m.
