Nanaimo RCMP officer charged for driving offence after Morden Rd. collision
NANAIMO — The B.C. Prosecution Service has approved a driving-related charge against a Nanaimo RCMP officer.
Cst. Elie Mohsen faces a single count of driving without reasonable consideration for others under the Motor Vehicle Act following an incident involving a police cruiser and a motorcycle on Sep. 3, 2021.
Mohsen was on shift supporting Ladysmith RCMP at the time of the incident, which involved officers trying to pull over a motorcycle on Morden Rd. just after midnight.
It had previously been spotted travelling at a high rate of speed and running a nearby red light on the highway.
