NANAIMO — It was all too familiar for the Clippers losing a second straight game 6-5 in overtime after coming back to tie the game late.

Nanaimo never led in their contest with the Grizzlies but a goal with under 30 seconds left in the third period by Kai Daniells forced OT.

The game was tied 2-2 after the first period and Victoria led 5-4 after two.

Ellis Rickwood played hero 23 seconds into the extra session.

There were several massive performances offensively highlighted by a two goal and two assist game for Tristan Fraser and two goals and an assist from Daniells.

Victoria had three point games from both Matthew Wood and Ellis Rickwood.

Power plays were a major factor with Nanaimo going 3/5 while the Grizzlies connected on two of four.

The shots were 34-32 for the Clippers with Cole Schwebius getting the win over Jed Baliotti in goal.

Nanaimo has a 3-1-1 record in the season series with two head to head games remaining.

The Clippers will play their third game in three days in Alberni Valley on March 13.
