Hospitalizations due to COVID-19 see slight drop in B.C.; 11 more deaths recorded

VICTORIA — British Columbia has recorded 11 new deaths related to COVID-19 over a three-day period for a total of 2,914 fatalities since the pandemic began.

The Health Ministry says in a news release that six of the deaths were in the Fraser area, three in the Interior region and one each in Northern and Island health authorities.

It says there were 449 people in hospital and 63 of those are in intensive care.

The figure is a slight decrease from Friday when 484 people were in hospital with COVID-19 while 69 were in intensive care.
