NANAIMO — Phase 3 of B.C.’s immunization plan is rolling out, including a much-sought after online booking tool.

The province announced vaccine appointments can be booked online starting at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, April 6.

“We have worked diligently and tirelessly to get this online registration, booking and tracking system ready for British Columbians,” Dr. Penny Ballam said in a release. “We’re ready to move onto the next phase of the largest vaccination program in B.C. history.”

Once the website is up and running, residents will be able to register to receive a confirmation code, which will then allow them to book their appointment.

More information is at: https://www2.gov.bc.ca/getvaccinated.html.

Those aged 71 and older, Indigenous people 18 and over and people considered clinically extremely vulnerable can register starting Tuesday.

The province announced roughly 770,000 B.C. residents have received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.

It’s expected everyone in the province will receive their first dose by Canada Day.
