BCHL season delayed again until Jan. 8
NANAIMO — Health regulations in the province have once again pushed back the start of the BCHL season.
Rules prohibiting travel were extended until Jan. 8 meaning the proposed 32 game schedule won’t be able to start until after that date.
While teams wait, provincial health rules allow players 18 and younger to participate in team practices and workouts while 19 and 20-year-olds are not permitted to engage in any team activities.
The Nanaimo Clippers have 12 players on their roster who were born in either 2000 or 2001 who are unable to practice.
