Nanaimo Mountie charged with assault causing bodily harm

NANAIMO — A Nanaimo RCMP officer has been charged in relation to a public intoxication arrest and detention nearly two years ago.

The BC Prosecution Service (BCPS) announced Cst. Tim Mason is charged with assault causing bodily harm following an incident on Dec. 2, 2018.

The charge against Mason was sworn on Oct. 8, 2020 while his first court appearance is scheduled for Nov. 17, 2020.
