Five Nanaimo Timbermen players selected in 2020 National Lacrosse League draft
NANAIMO — Five members of the Nanaimo Timbermen organization have been selected in the 2020 National Lacrosse League draft.
Ethan Ticehurst (20th) and goalie Justin Geddie (32nd) were both chosen by the Calgary Roughnecks. Dylan Foulds went 35th to Philadelphia, Vancouver grabbed Isaac Bot 55th overall and Kelson Borisenko was taken 64th by Saskatchewan.
Timbermen president Chris Bowman expressed his pride in the strong showing for Nanaimo athletes in the draft.
“These guys have put in a ton of work to get to this point and earn the right to be drafted. The hard work will start again for them now to make the teams that drafted them but they have the drive and desire to do it.”
