Van Isle escapes new COVID cases as province announces nearly 50 new diagnoses
NANAIMO — 46 new COVID-19 cases have been announced by the province, but none are within the Island Health region.
A statement Tuesday from the province said 472 cases are considered active, an increase of 27 cases compared to data from the day before.
Eight people are currently in hospital across B.C. due to the virus, including five people receiving intensive care.
No new COVID related deaths were announced in the province, marking the eleventh consecutive fatality-free day as a result of the virus in B.C.
