2nd teen arrested in serious gas station fire, pair now charged with arson

NANAIMO — Police have now charged both 16-year-old suspects in the serious Circle K convenience store fire.

Nanaimo RCMP said the second teen alleged to be involved was located in Ladysmith on Monday, May 4. The first suspect was arrested without incident on Sunday, May 3 in a south Nanaimo home.

They’re now facing four charges each, including arson and robbery.

RCMP Cst. Gary O’Brien previously told NanaimoNewsNOW the two youths were accused of leaving the store without paying for their goods.
