Being mindful while out with your pet

NANAIMO — Dogs are great companions but they need to go outside, which can be tough in this era of physical distancing and social isolation.

If you have a dog, absolutely go for walks around the neighbourhood or along your favourite trails.

But remember, now’s not the time to let your dogs drag you over to another dog owner or near other people.

Keeping six feet between you and other dog walkers and people on trails is crucial, so keep a close eye on your pet when out for walks.
