Fatal helicopter crash on Campbell River’s waterfront
CAMPBELL RIVER — The BC Coroners Service confirmed one person died in a helicopter crash in Campbell River.
Local RCMP said emergency responders attended the scene in the Tyee Spit area Tuesday at 11:25 a.m.
Campbell River RCMP Cst. Maury Tyre said one person was aboard the locally owned commercial helicopter.
“The cause of the crash is presently unknown and will continue to be investigated by Worksafe BC, the Transportation Safety Board and the BC Coroners Service,” Tyre said.
