NANAIMO — A key link to and from downtown Nanaimo is now closed to vehicular traffic for several weeks while crews upgrade the Bastion St. Bridge.
The City said the closure will be in effect from Tuesday, May 21 to June 28 to replace the concrete bridge deck of the link between the Old City Quarter and the heart of downtown.
Pedestrians will still be able to cross the bridge during the deck replacement portion of the project, which also involves seismic improvements.
