VIDEO: Concrete truck dumps load along Nanaimo Parkway

NANAIMO — A truck driver’s day got off to a terrible start after he dumped a load of concrete for roughly one kilometre along the Nanaimo Parkway.

The northbound slow lane was closed from roughly Third St. to just north of the East Wellington overpass for roughly six hours as crews worked to clean up the mess.

The spill happened shortly before 9 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 7.

A message to NanaimoNewsNOW said rocks were scattered across both lanes, hampering traffic in all directions.
