More and more people are taking part in Bike to Work Week in Nanaimo.

The City has released final totals from the annual event which was held May 30th through June 5th.

Recreation Coordinator Deborah Beck says the numbers were up over last year.

“This year we had 670 riders. And the cool thing is 122 of them considered themselves new riders, which is huge. And we rode almost 27-thousand kilometres,” said Beck.
