Prepare for traffic delays due to downtown Nanaimo TV filming

NANAIMO — Finding a parking spot in downtown Nanaimo will be more difficult in coming days.
Filming for the show Chesapeake Shores will close Skinner St. from Commercial to Bastion St. from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Monday, May 15.
Street parking will be limited from Monday to Wednesday, May 18, both downtown and by the Brechin boat launch. There will be flag-people directing traffic in those areas.
In a release, the City of Nanaimo recommended parkade parking to avoid congestion and difficulties on the street.
