Body found in Nanaimo park, police rule out foul play

NANAIMO — Mounties are ruling out foul play after a body was found at Piper’s Lagoon Park.
Nanaimo RCMP say the body of a woman was found by a hiker around 5:45 p.m. Monday. Investigators and the BC Coroners Service were on scene for several hours, leading to the closure of the park.
RCMP are not releasing any other details. The Coroner will continue the investigation.
