NANAIMO — In local lacrosse action, the Nanaimo Senior B Timbermen dropped games one and two of the West Coast Senior Lacrosse Championship final 7-4, and 6-3 to Langley Saturday and Sunday.

The Timbermen will look to stave off elimination in the best of five series Thursday Langley.

The Vancouver Island Raiders are back in the win column after last week’s lost to Westshore. 

The Raiders downed the Valley Huskers 54-24 Saturday afternoon at Caledonia Park.

For the first time since the franchise formed in 2005, the Raiders are sporting some new gear. The team debuted brand new all black with red trim home jerseys on Saturday.
