Armand Malenfant, May 15, 1955 – June 26, 2026
Armand Malenfant, Dad, passed away peacefully on June 26, 2026, at the NRGH Palliative Care unit. Dad was a man of vibrant passions. He had a great eye for antiques, loved old cars and took immense pride in dressing well. He loved to cook (especially seafood), was an avid letter writer, an incredible crib player and someone who could talk to anyone about absolutely anything for hours. He especially loved chatting about his most cherished memories. He shared the story of running a chip wagon on the beach when he was young dozens of times. I know that memory brought him a lifetime of joy. Above all, music was part of his soul. He loved nothing more than picking up a guitar and playing for hours. Bob Dylan, the Traveling Wilburys, The Guess Who, Burton Cummings, Joe Cocker, Cat Stevens were some of his favourites. Though life wasn’t always easy and he faced his share of personal struggles, his love for those he cared about was pure. He had a generous spirit and a heart of gold. Dad will be laid to rest alongside his loving mother, father and beloved brother back home in Moncton, New Brunswick. He will be deeply missed. Rest well, Dad. I love you.
