Nicole Mychelle Yvonne Drexhage, September 23, 1979 – June 28, 2026

Nicole (Nikk) passed on June 28, 2026. She is survived by her son Chesley, her husband Glenn, her beloved pups Marco and Lupé, her mother Anne and her father James (Jim), and a loving group of extended family and friends. Nikk had an unwavering passion for life. She was the Mama Bear for her family, a loving and beloved member of her dear network of friends, and a fierce, compassionate voice for those she served throughout her nursing career. Nikk was a strong advocate for justice, fairness and social equity. She wasn’t afraid to speak truth to power or say the uncomfortable thing when it needed to be said. She was committed to supporting some of the most vulnerable people in our communities – people whose voices were often unheard. She helped others see the person behind the circumstances and the clichés. Nikk was a beautiful soul. She had an infectious laugh, a wicked sense of humour and a mischievous streak. Her heart was firmly embedded on her tattooed sleeve; she wasn’t one for small talk and she wasn’t afraid to experience, enjoy, struggle, feel and love deeply. Nikk was also highly creative. She was an amazing cook, a passionate gardener, and a lover of music, books, film, art, design, travel and other pursuits. She was a dedicated fan of thrift shops, and had an uncanny knack for discovering gems on one of her many outings. She had a great eye, and always seemed to have a project on the go, whether it was rewiring a gorgeous old lamp she had discovered, repurposing old clothes into laptop cases or golf bags, restoring furniture and other items, and so much more. Nikk loved life, and above all she loved her family – Ches, Glenn, Marco and Lupé. We love you too Nikk, so much. We are with you, always and forever, as you are with us. A memorial service will be held at a future date.
