Nanaimo Courthouse tour highlights Law Week festivities

NANAIMO — The public can get a first-hand look inside day-to-day life inside the Nanaimo Courthouse.

Free tours of the historic courthouse at 35 Front St. are Saturday, April 13 between 10 and 11 a.m.

Law Week festivities staged by the Canadian Bar Association include a look inside the courtrooms, holding cells and prisoner transport vans.

A family-friendly Supreme Court trial and verdict takes place at 11 a.m.

An RCMP Emergency Response Team demonstration is scheduled from noon to 1:30 p.m.
