Senior B Timbermen drop opener of second round series

NANAIMO — The Senior B Timbermen are underway in the second round of the WCSLA playoffs.
The Tmen fell to Ladner 8-6 Thursday night on the mainland.
The loss snapped a five-game winning streak, which included a first round sweep of Victoria.
At 11-3, the Pioneers were the number one team in the league in the regular season and earned a first round playoff bye.
Nanaimo and Ladner split their two contests in the regular season. The Timbermen will host game two of the series Friday night at 7 p.m. at Frank Crane Arena. Game three goes Monday in Ladner.
The other WCLSA semi-final sees Royal City going up against Langley.
