Advance voting begins in B.C. provincial election

Apr 28, 2017 | 5:46 PM

NANAIMO — If no more all-candidate meetings or rallies will change your mind about who to vote for in the B.C. provincial election, you can cast your ballot now.

According to Andrew Watson with Elections BC, you can vote at any location, not just the ones in your riding.

Watson said they’ve added two more days of advance voting in an effort to provide as many opportunities for residents since casting a ballot before the campaign ends has become increasingly popular.

“In 2013, about 20 per cent of the votes cast were at advance voting. If you look at the elections in the mid-90’s, that’s up from five to six per cent,” he said.
