All burning, use of torches, fireworks or other previously prohibited items, must still be allowed by local government regulations from municipal or regional governments.

More information on current fire bans can be found here on the province’s website.

As of Tuesday, Sept. 30, there were 10 wildfires currently burning on Vancouver Island, all of which are marked as under control.
