John Dunham, March 23, 1926 –  August 24, 2026

Born March 23, 1926 in Knutsford, Cheshire, England, the only child of Thomas and Ada Mary Dunham. Died on August 24, 2026 in Victoria BC. He was predeceased by his first wife, Suzanne Aleta Manning of Everett Washington in 1982 and by his second wife Eileen Victoria Cunliffe, nee Yoxall, in 2010. He is survived by his son, Thomas Manning Dunham of Renton Washington and his daughter Hilary Aleta Rees, husband Paul of Long Beach California and grand-daughter Samantha Suzanne Rees of New York City New York. Also survived by his step-daughter Lianne Victoria Potts, nee Cunliffe of Sidney BC. John enjoyed a long, interesting and varied career, being involved with banking, ships, ferries, shipping, emergency waste management and real estate in England, Canada and the United States. Civically he was a Past President of the Nanaimo Rotary Club, Past Vice President of the Nanaimo Chamber of Commerce, Vice President, Vancouver Island of the Canadian Red Cross, and the 2nd Campaign Chairman of the Nanaimo United Appeal. He was very involved with his garden and enjoyed reading, philately, family, travel, especially to Mexico, and life in general. Remains will be cremated and, by request, there will be no service.
