World Cup champs Spain returns to No. 1 as Canada remains 30th in FIFA men’s rankings

ZURICH — Canada remained No. 30 in the latest FIFA men’s world rankings released Monday, while World Cup champion Spain climbed back to No. 1 after its title victory.
Spain moved up one place to replace Argentina, which slipped to second after Sunday’s 1-0 extra-time loss in the World Cup final.
Canada held its position after reaching the knockout stage of the World Cup for the first time before falling 3-0 to Morocco in the round of 16.
Mexico climbed four places to 10th to return to the top 10 for the first time since March 2022.
