Nanaimo Real Estate Market Report: March 2026

NANAIMO – March saw a balanced market, with measured momentum in the local area.

In March, 85 single-family homes sold in Nanaimo, up 21 per cent from the February and up 18 per cent from the previous year. Active listings of single-family homes on the Mid-Island were 1,193 in March, on par with the previous year.

The average sale price for a single-family home in Nanaimo was $856,045 in March, on par with the previous month, and March 2025.

• Nanaimo’s benchmark sits at $814,400, on par with last month and last year.
• Campbell River’s benchmark price for single-family homes was $684,900, on par with the previous year.
• Comox Valley’s benchmark price is on par with last year’s price and sits at $849,700.
• Cowichan Valley reported a benchmark price of $765,200, on par with March 2025.
• The Parksville-Qualicum area is 2.7 per cent above last year at a benchmark price of $908,800
• Port Alberni’s benchmark sits at $515,700, which is on par with last year’s number.
• The North Island area is on par with last year at a benchmark price of $439,300.
