Marie Strothotte, January 25, 1955 – February 5, 2026
STROTHOTTE MARIE On February 5th, 2026; Idonna Marie (White) Strothotte, of St. David Ridge, NB. passed peacefully at her residence in the loving care of her devoted husband, Michael Friedrich Paul Strothotte. Surviving in addition to her husband Michael, is her mother Betty (Weber) White, daughter Christina Louise (White) Harvie of Terrace, BC, son Ronald James Harvie of Edmonton, AB. As well as her sisters, Vicki White of Victoria, BC, Michelle White of Greenville, Tenn. U.S.A., and Rosemarie White of Cowichan Valley, BC. Marie has 5 grandchildren, Joseph Aaron (White) Erhart of Terrace, BC, Jessica Mae Erhart of Nanaimo, BC and Devon William Morisseau of St. David Ridge, NB, Caitlyn Harvie and Mitchell Harvie, of Edmonton, Alberta, and several nieces’ nephews and cousins. Born in Victoria BC; she is the daughter of the late Jerome (Jerry) Joseph & Betty (Weber) White. Residing in BC for many years, she dedicated her life to Literacy Nanaimo for almost 3 years. She also played an intricate part in helping international students getting settled into a new town, new country, new language. She was an artist. She had a passion for knitting and crocheting. She created many beautiful clothes and blankets in this medium. She taught knitting at the Wool Emporium in Saint Stephen for several years. Marie was predeceased by her sister Catherine Elaine White and her father Jerome (Jerry) Joseph White. By Marie’s request there will be no visitation. Cremation will take place. A private family memorial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations to Literacy Nanaimo in Marie’s memory would be appreciated by the family.
