Cam especially enjoyed her time as a volunteer with the Kimberley Hospital Auxiliary Thrift Shop and treasured the friendships she formed there. Family was the heart of Cam’s world. She was happiest when surrounded by those she loved, and she was especially grateful to witness her grandchildren grow and flourish. She had a deep appreciation for Indigenous art, local history, and a good scotch at the end of a long day. Although she spent the last decade living inland, her heart always remained on Vancouver Island and its rugged coastal beauty. At Cam’s request, there will be no service or flowers. Those wishing to honour her memory may make a donation to the cancer charity of their choice, the Cranbrook Kimberley Hospice Society or the East Kootenay Foundation for Health. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
