Moore pleads guilty to sexual interference

Wayne Moore has pled guilty to sexual interference of a minor.

The 64-year old former barber and Sergeant-at-arms of the local Royal Canadian Legion agreed to a statement of facts presented by Crown Counsel.

Moore was initially charged with six different sex offenses, and is one of three men charged with multiple sex crimes against children.

Co-accused Shawn Pater has been in custody since being charged, but will have a bail hearing at the end of the month.

Both Pater and third co-accused Terry Houbregs are expected to be tried in BC Supreme Court in 2026.
