John Robert Patton, January 4, 1939 – August 23, 2025
It is with profound sadness and the greatest of love we mourn the passing of our husband and father John Robert Patton of Nanaimo, BC, on Aug. 23, 2025 at the age of 86 years. Dad will be lovingly remembered by his one and only love, his beloved wife of 68 years, Constance Faith Patton. Children Linda, Danny (Janice), Cindy, and Caroline.
Grandchildren Danice (Maks), Mike (Adriana), Jenny (Geoff), Cory, Adam, Mandy (Raul), Tiler (Jolean), Ebonie, Daniel (Morgan), Ryan, Josh, Sean (Elizabeth), 14 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-granddaughter, brother George Patton, and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
Dad was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers for over 60 years where he was proud to have worked building the WAC Bennett Dam in northern BC. He served as an Executive Board Member, and then became a Business Agent in the late seventies where he tirelessly fought for, and was “a friend of the working man and woman” until his retirement in 1996.
Grandpa was larger than life! His presence in his grandchildren’s lives was steadfast; he was always there for the many milestones and achievements of each and every one. So many memories made that will be shared for generations to come.
Dad was sadly predeceased by his eldest daughter Bonnie May Ruth Patton just 5 short months ago, grandson Luke Friesen, parents William Patton, Ruth MacPherson Frizzell, sister Norma, Carol, and brother William.
Dad, John, words cannot convey how very much you are missed. Until we meet again.
