NANAIMO –  Buyers hesitate in the face of trade tariffs.

In February, 239 single-family homes sold in Nanaimo, up seventeen per cent over January and down four per cent over the previous year. Active listings of single-family homes on the Mid-Island were 975 in February, up six percent from the previous year.

The average sale price for a single-family home in Nanaimo was $834,447 in February, on par with the previous month and up five per cent from February 2024.

• Nanaimo’s benchmark sits at $810,600, on par with last month and last year.
• Campbell River’s benchmark price for single-family homes was $682,400, a nearly three per cent increase over the previous year.
• Comox Valley’s benchmark price is on par with last year’s price and sits at $827,000.
• Cowichan Valley reported a benchmark price of $759,800, on par with February 2024.
• The Parksville-Qualicum area is on par last year with a benchmark price of $879,400
• Port Alberni’s benchmark increased to $523,100, which is three per cent higher than last year’s number.
• The North Island area is up thirteen per cent over last year with a benchmark price of $440,000.
