Clippers fall short hosting Bulldogs
NANAIMO – Quick scoring in the second period proved to be the difference as the Alberni Valley Bulldogs pushed past the Clippers Friday night.
An eventful week for the Nanaimo Clippers, which saw them lose two top players, led into a key weekend against two Island opponents, starting Friday, Dec. 13.
A relatively tight first period remained scoreless until late when the Bulldogs opened the scoring through Lenny Greenberg with just under four minutes remaining in the period.
Clippers forward Carson Lesiuk tied the game at 1 around two minutes later with his fourth of the season, a goal which started a run of three goals in less than two minutes between the teams.
