NANAIMO — All three people charged with murdering a woman in Nanaimo in 2023 are now accounted for.

Tyler Stephen Elrix, 41, was arrested on the weekend in Chemainus by members of the Vancouver Island Emergency Response Team, confirmed the RCMP’s Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit (CFSEU).

An arrest warrant was issued for the Duncan man shortly after he was charged on Oct. 18 in connection to the death of 52-year-old Wendy Head.

Originally believed to have died of a non-criminally related overdose in March 2023, Nanaimo RCMP reclassified the case as a homicide investigation several months later.

Head died in an Autumnwood Dr. Home in central Nanaimo.

Kehar Garry Sangha and Lily Irene Lindbergh are also charged with first-degree murder in the case and were promptly taken into custody after charges were laid.

Sangha and Lindbergh were also charged with unlawfully counselling with undercover police to commit murder which was not committed.

The secondary charges relate to conduct allegedly occurring between Sept. 1 and Sept 30, 2023, in Duncan and Langford, according to BC Prosecution Service documents.

All three accused are in custody and have court appearances scheduled for Dec. 10.
