Gordon Clark Renney – March 6th, 1949 – October 13th, 2023

We announce with great sadness, the passing of Clark on October 13, 2023 at Laurel Place Hospice in Surrey, B.C. Clark was a fifth-generation Nanaimoite. He worked in logging, carpentry and construction during his career, until his retirement eight years ago. His work allowed him to live in many places all over B.C. He relocated to Coquitlam for his final five years. He fought a long, hard battle with throat cancer, but he fought it with grace and dignity. The last year of his life was lived in hospital, then Hospice. Clark is survived by his three sons, Dallas, Tyler and Travis, his sister, Pam, his pseudo sister, Vicki, his nephew and his niece and her family. He had two granddaughters and two pseudo-grandkids, his niece’s children. He will be lovingly remembered and missed very much. Sending a big shout-out to the staff of Laurel Place Hospice, who cared for him lovingly and treated him with compassion and respect for his last eleven months. A celebration of life will be held on December 9 from 11 am – 3 pm at: Bowen Park Complex – Room 1 500 Bowen, Rd., Nanaimo, B.C. Anyone who knew Clark is welcome to attend.
