OTTAWA — The federal government is expected to table a plan to improve access to diabetes treatment and prevention in Canada later today.

Liberal MP Sonia Sidhu called for the new framework as part of a private member’s bill that became law in 2021.

Sidhu is expected to appear at a press conference later today with Health Minister Jean-Yves Duclos.

A press release sent Tuesday says the two will announce “a way forward for addressing diabetes in Canada.”
