Valuables stolen from multiple Nanaimo schools during early morning break-ins
NANAIMO —Police believe break-ins to several Nanaimo elementary schools early Monday morning are related incidents.
The break-ins all happened on Monday, Feb 14 between 2:30 and 4:00 a.m. at Coal Tyee, Departure Bay and Forest Park schools, according to a Nanaimo RCMP news release.
An alarm was also triggered at boarded up Cilaire Elementary School, however it’s unknown if entry was gained that school currently undergoing seismic upgrades.
The Coal Tyee break-in was the only incident in which police were called to attend.
