Elks coach Elizondo goes with rookie Cornelius, vet Prukop in rematch with Bombers

EDMONTON — Jamie Elizondo is making a quarterback change.

The Edmonton head coach told reporters Monday rookie Taylor Cornelius will make the start Friday when the Elks (2-6) host the Winnipeg Blue Bombers (8-1).

Elizondo also said veteran Dakota Prukop will be Edmonton’s backup.

That means incumbent Trevor Harris won’t play for Edmonton.
