New Island Health COVID-19 cases stay true to recent trends
NANAIMO — COVID-19 case numbers for Island Health continue to trend up.
The health authority added another 77 new cases to its total on Tuesday, Sept. 14, marking now 7,371 cases in the health authority throughout the entire pandemic. Around half were from the central Island region.
It’s in line with additions over the past seven days, which are slightly higher on average than two weeks ago.
The number of active cases dropped one to 527 including 254 on the central Island. The area continues to account for most of the new and active cases for the health authority.
